Who We Are
Thomas Dever, Co-Founder & CEO
Tom is an entertainment-tech leader with a proven track record of building trusted platforms for writers and filmmakers. As a founding team member, he helped grow Coverfly from zero to acquisition, forging industry partnerships and product innovations with top-tier festivals like Sundance, Cannes, and TIFF. Tom has worked directly with writers, studios, and A-list talent to create opportunities that drive both revenue and creative success. As CEO and Co-Founder of Scrybe, he is committed to uniting vetted competitions and the writing community under one collaborative, transparent platform.
Dave Beazley, Co-Founder
Dave is a UK filmmaker and entrepreneur based in Los Angeles with a passion for finding and elevating new writing talent. He founded Shore Scripts, which has helped over 100 writers gain representation, option, sell, and produce their screenplays—including recent projects like The Assessment, starring Alicia Vikander and Elizabeth Olsen. Through the Shore Scripts Short Film Fund, Dave has produced over 20 short films that have played and won awards at major festivals including Sundance, Tribeca, BFI London, and BAFTA. As a filmmaker, he has worked with major studios and produced and directed numerous shorts, documentaries, and features, including the Blumhouse film Flesh & Blood. Dave is dedicated to molding Scrybe into the one-stop screenwriting platform that writers deserve.
Peter Bedor, Co-Founder & Technical Lead
Peter is a full-stack engineer bringing over 10 years of software development experience across diverse industries. He spent two years at Coverfly working alongside Tom on platform improvements and innovations, where he gained deep insight into the unique technical challenges of building tools for the screenwriting community. Though not a writer himself, Peter has a genuine appreciation for great storytelling and understands the critical role good writing plays in film and media. His technical expertise and passion for creating seamless user experiences drive Scrybe's mission to build a platform that truly serves writers—one that's intuitive, reliable, and focused on what matters most: connecting exceptional stories with the right opportunities.
